Dusty Watson grew up in Southern California and started taking drum lessons from Gerry Colapinto at age six. At the age of nine, he was a featured guest with the Corona High School Jazz Band, recording “A Hard Days Night” for a live album, just weeks after being introduced to his idol Gene Krupa.
Dusty recently released a surf drum instructional DVD entitled 'Pounding Surf' which is available now. He is working as Music Consultant with Greg Passmore from Passmore Labs and James Humann from Lucid Dreams on their 3D films including the recently released 'Physics of Surfing'. Oh and yes, that is Dusty Watson playing 'Wipe Out' in the Disney film, 'Surf's Up'!
